Company Involvement:

Atlantic Plant Hire & Contract Crushing was contracted to extract site won rock material and process for incorporation into the works.

Start / End Dates:

May 2020 to September 2023.

Project Description:

This contract comprised of the following:
Drilling & Blasting of almost 700,000m³ of rock, Rock Breaking of xxxm³ and processing of over 1.5m tonnes of aggregate from within the lands made available for use in the mainline and ancillary works on pavement and structural layers.
This project stretches from Cork side of Macroom, bypassing the Town of Macroom, the villages of, Baile Mhic Íre and Baile Bhuirne, finishing on the improved section of the N22, just west of Baile Mhic Íre itself and before the County bounds with Kerry.
